Cutie Marks

I am sure that absolutely EVERYONE who could possibly be reading this blog knows about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. From what I’ve seen, it’s kind of equivalent to being on the Internet at this point. Sometimes I think it’s fun to figure out what the pony versions of my characters would be, especially their cutie marks.

Quick recap: Cutie marks are symbols on the flank of a pony. They’re not born with them, but get them as a sort of puberty thing when they discover their super special talent. It happens at different times for different ponies. The symbol shows what the pony is good at and what makes them special.

40: Mordecai’s opinion on my music.

From what I recall, it’s been a while since I let a character take full control of the blog and just… say whatever. Do whatever they want. So, since I don’t feel like giving Raizha a place to talk right now and I’m too lazy to make a new signature so I can let another character talk, I’m just shoving Mordecai into the situation.

What shall I talk about?

Hm… anything. Music.

Music. -_-

37: Happy Birthday to Me!

Today’s my birthday, and I turned nineteen! In two more years I’ll be not-drinking because I honestly don’t want to rather than not-drinking because I can’t legally do so! Woo hoo!

Prohibition-era Mordecai nods his head in approval. I’ve finally done something right.

I’ve also done something wrong, though, in completely miscalculating when Dorothy’s birthday should have been or how old she was supposed to be in the story, or something like that. I’m not exactly sure, but somewhere the math is wrong. So I can either say that Dorothy’s 30 (which would throw things off a bit), say that she was actually like 2 when her mom died, or push things around a bit and say she was 5 when her mom died and is now 23. Personally, I like the idea of pushing everyone back a bit so I have the whole of the 1920s to play with before the Stock Market Crash!

Wooo!

So far for my birthday I got some iTunes money, which was promptly spent on pirate music because pirates.

PIRATES.

26: Meet Dorothy Prismall

It is Saturday once again, so I decided that it was only fair to let Dorothy do some talking, since I usually let Mordecai write the blog. She is, after all, half of my detective team.

The more important half.

…right. Dorothy didn’t know what to talk about, though, so I’m going to be conducting a bit of any interview to help her along.

…let’s switch the italics around, because I will hopefully be the one doing less talking in this.

24: When Your Characters Control YOU

You know your characters are controlling your life when:

  • When you end up with zombie romance in your story because your undead character begs to be together with your main character.
  • When you buy a cloak so you can be your zombie character.
  • You have a folder of clock pictures for Raizha.
  • You spend an evening looking at clocks on Amazon for Raizha.
  • You actually buy a pocket watch… to make Raizha happy.
  • Mordecai reprimands you whenever you happen across anything a young lady should not be seeing.
  • Mordecai reprimands you for wearing pants.
  • Mordecai reprimands you for ‘losing’ your student ID in your jacket pocket.
  • Mordecai just reprimands you for everything.
  • You feel compelled to look in the jewelry section of a store because Mordecai wants to get something nice for Dorothy.
  • You have to learn the Charleston because Dorothy knows it.
  • You have to memorize the poems your characters have memorized.
  • You’re a vegetarian, but you kind of want to buy some ham because Sokola loves it.
  • You’ve translated phrases into French so much that you’re starting to learn it… the dirty parts, at least.
  • You worship Vaughn as a god.
